Faculty Members Attend the 2025 Annual Academic Conference of the Chinese Society of Criminal Procedure Law
From November 8 to 9, 2025, the Annual Academic Conference of the Chinese Society of Criminal Procedure Law and the Fourth Meeting of the Third Council were held in Changchun, Jilin Province, hosted by the Law School of Jilin University. The conference focused on the overarching theme "Improving the Socialist Criminal Procedure Legal System with Chinese Characteristics." Sub-topics included (1) Building a Systematic and Comprehensive Criminal Procedure Legal System, (2) Establishing a Fair, Efficient, and Authoritative Criminal Judicial System, (3) Constructing an Independent Chinese Criminal Procedure Legal Knowledge System, and (4) Other Issues in Criminal Procedure Law, discussed across eight parallel sessions. Professor Huang Feng, Professor Shi Limei, and Professor He Ting from the Faculty of Law at Beijing Normal University attended the conference and actively participated in discussions.
On the afternoon of November 8, Professor Huang Feng, a member of the Academic Committee, chaired the second session of Sub-topic 4 "Other Issues in Criminal Procedure Law," summarizing discussions on topics such as the disposal of assets involved in cases and cross-border evidence collection. Professor Shi Limei, a Standing Council member of the society, delivered a themed speech during the first session of Sub-topic 2 "Establishing a Fair, Efficient, and Authoritative Criminal Judicial System," focusing on the construction of a plea bargaining evidence disclosure system under the theory of treaty procedures. On the morning of November 9, Professor He Ting, also a Standing Council member, presented a summary report to the plenary session on the discussions held during the first session of Sub-topic 4 "Other Issues in Criminal Procedure Law."
