International Symposium on "Current Challenges Facing the International Criminal Court" Successfully Conducted

The International Criminal Court (ICC), operational since 2002, has played a significant role in addressing and preventing the most serious crimes of international concern. However, with the deepening of globalization and increasingly complex international relations, the ICC faces unprecedented challenges in fulfilling its mission. Against this backdrop, the international academic symposium "Current Challenges Facing the International Criminal Court" was successfully held at Beijing Normal University from November 7–8, 2024. Jointly organized by Beijing Normal University’s Faculty of Law and the Chinese Society of International Criminal Law, with support from the China Law Society and Beijing Normal University, the symposium brought together over 40 experts and scholars from academia, legal practice, and international institutions—both in person and online—to discuss these critical issues.
