Sino-Brazilian Symposium on Law and Artificial Intelligence Held at Beijing Normal University



On October 14, 2025, Beijing Normal University’s Faculty of Law successfully hosted the Sino-Brazilian Symposium on Law and Artificial Intelligence at the Yingdong Auditorium. As part of the university’s 30th-anniversary celebrations for its law discipline development and the Forum on Innovative Cultivation of Outstanding Legal Professionals in the New Era, the symposium attracted over 70 participants from China and Brazil, including academics, judges, legal practitioners, and students. The Brazilian delegation included 22 judges and professors from judicial academies and courts across states such as Tocantins, Maranhão, and Rio Grande do Sul, while the Chinese delegation featured experts from institutions like the National Judges College, Beijing Internet Court, Tsinghua University, and Yingke Law Firm. Discussions focused on AI applications in judiciary, algorithmic transparency, and institutional innovation, highlighting growing Sino-Brazilian collaboration in digital legal governance.
