Gao Mingxuan, male, born in May 1928, from Yuhuan County, Zhejiang Province, is a member of the Communist Party of China. He is currently the honorary president, distinguished consulting professor, and doctoral supervisor of the Institute of Criminal Legal Science of Beijing Normal University, and the honorary first-level professor and doctoral supervisor of Renmin University of China. Supervisor, and concurrently serves as the honorary president of the China Society of Criminal Law, the honorary vice chairman of the International Association of Criminal Law and the honorary chairman of the China Branch. He graduated from the Law Department of Peking University with a bachelor's degree in 1951 and graduated from the postgraduate class in criminal law at the Law Department of Renmin University of China in 1953. Since 1953, he has taught at the Law Department of Renmin University of China (now the Law School). He has successively served as the director of the Law Department of Renmin University of China, the director of the School of Law, a member of the Second, Third and Fourth Subject Review Teams of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, and the convener of the Law Group., vice president of the Chinese Law Society, president of the Criminal Law Research Society of the Chinese Law Society, etc. He participated in the drafting of the Criminal Code in 1979 and the revision of the Criminal Code in 1997, and participated in many discussions and consultations on the formulation of criminal judicial interpretations by the highest judicial organs in China. He has successively won honorary titles such as "Young and Middle-aged Expert with Outstanding Contributions","National Outstanding Teacher", and "National Advanced Individual in Moral Ethics", and has been included in the Cambridge World Who's Who in the UK and various editions of China. Professor Gao Mingxuan enjoys a high reputation in my country's legal circles and even the international legal circles. He is a famous contemporary jurist and legal educator in my country, and the main founder and pioneer of China's criminal law. Mr. Gao is diligent in his studies and is known for his rigor. He has been writing and writing for decades. He has published more than 90 professional works (including solo works, co-authors, and editor-in-chief) and more than 250 papers. Some of his works have won the National Book Award, the first prize in the Outstanding Achievements Award in Humanities and Social Sciences Research of the Ministry of Education, the special prize and the first prize in the National Excellent Textbooks of Ordinary Colleges and Universities, and the first prize in the Outstanding Textbooks of the Ministry of Justice of China.
