Director of Siracusa International Institute for Criminal Justice and Human Right, Italy, member of the Executive Committee of The Geneva Academy for Anti-Corruption, Integrity and Good Governance, Switzerland, editorial board of the Series on international criminal law, and editorial board of the Howard Journal of Crime and Justice, University of Oxford. His research fields are China criminal law, international criminal justice and foreign criminal law. He has served as a court judge of Tianjin City No. 1 Intermediate People's Court, deputy chief prosecutor of the People's Procuratorate of Fangshan District, Beijing City (temporary position), deputy chief judge of the Second Criminal Trial Division of the Supreme People's Court of the People's Republic of China (temporary position), and associate professor at the School of Law of Renmin University of China. He was a senior judge training, visiting scholar and Fulbright scholar at New York University in 1995, 2003 and 2009. He studied at the International Criminal Court in 2004. He was a visitor to the Max Plang Institute of International Criminal Law and Foreign Criminal Law in Germany in 2007. He was a visitor to the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom in 2015. Hosted major and key projects of the National Social Science Fund, and presided over special project research commissioned by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other relevant ministries and commissions. He has published more than 40 personal monographs, translations, and co-authored books, and published more than 200 academic papers in newspapers and magazines at home and abroad such as "China Law" and "Xinhua Digest". In 2009, he was selected into the Ministry of Education's New Century Outstanding Talent Support Program. In December 2017, he was awarded the Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani Anti-Corruption Excellence Award "International Anti-Corruption Education and Research Excellence Award.
