Beijing Normal University Anti-Terrorism Rule of Law Research Center



The Anti-Terrorism Rule of Law Research Center of Beijing Normal University (Anti-Terrorism Rule of Law Research Center) was established on August 18, 2015. It was a specialized research institution established to strengthen theoretical research on counter-terrorism and carry out international exchanges and cooperation on anti-terrorism after the Institute of Criminal Legal Sciences of Beijing Normal University became the global academic partner on August 22, 2014.

The main tasks of the Anti-Terrorism Rule of Law Research Center are to promote international anti-terrorism cooperation and exchanges, promote the domestic implementation of international anti-terrorism legislation, and ensure the respect and protection of anti-terrorism legislation for human rights and the rule of law by conducting anti-terrorism research, training, education and project cooperation. The Anti-Terrorism Rule of Law Research Center is committed to applying theory to practice, discovering problems from practice, deeply discovering the root causes of terrorism, the current situation, characteristics and development trends of terrorist activities, and providing advice for the formulation and implementation of anti-terrorism policies and legislation.

The research team of the Anti-Terrorism Rule of Law Research Center consists of more than 20 experts, scholars, practitioners and representatives from other anti-terrorism fields from inside and outside the school (including overseas). It reflects diversity in language and culture. The Anti-Terrorism Rule of Law Research Center has established business connections with well-known anti-terrorism research institutions at home and abroad, and is gradually improving various systems such as the evaluation and appointment of researchers, the publication of research results, and website construction.
