Institute of Chinese Criminal Law, Beijing Normal University


The Institute of China Criminal Law of Beijing Normal University is the largest permanent research institution in the Academy of Criminal Law of Beijing Normal University. It has more than 10 full-time researchers with China criminal law as its first research direction, and more than 10 full-time researchers with China criminal law as its second or third research direction.

The Institute of Criminal Law of China occupies a core position in the discipline of criminal law. It not only has a strong academic team, has significant academic research impact, and has achieved remarkable results in cultivating high-level talents. It has always maintained a pioneering and leading position in the field of professional research. It has significant domestic influence and has a certain international reputation and influence. As the basic direction of criminal law major, the direction of China's criminal law that our firm is responsible for plays an important role in teaching, scientific research and social services, highlighting the significance of leading academic development and promoting the rule of criminal law. The institute currently has 1 national-level teaching team, 1 national-level quality course, 1 national-level quality resource sharing course, 1 Beijing City teaching team, and 1 Beijing City quality course.

The distinctive characteristics of the China Institute of Criminal Law are mainly reflected in the following five aspects: First, the research on criminal law theory is pioneering and innovative, and has published a series of weighty academic monographs to continue to deepen the research on criminal law theory in our country; Second, it pays attention to the hot and difficult issues in criminal law practice, and has successively published a series of criminal law practice research books such as "Study on Typical Cases of Chinese Criminal Law" and "Legal Research on Chinese Difficult Criminal Cases", which have attracted the attention of the judicial community; Third, academic research adheres to the integration of theory with practice, and has formally established close exchanges and cooperation relations with many central and local political and legal agencies, actively participated in the research and preparation of legal and judicial interpretations, undertook relevant research topics, and submitted decision-making consultation reports with important reference value., It is highly valued and recognized by the central political and legal leading organs; Fourth, the training system for high-level specialized talents is complete, and a complete talent training system that connects undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and postdoctoral students has actually been formed; fifth, it serves as a leading team in this subject field and continues to lead and promote the development of criminal law disciplines across the country with academic achievements and academic activities.

The Institute of Criminal Law of China is responsible for editing series such as "Criminal Law Theory","Criminal Law Review","Research on Judgment and Interpretation of Criminal Law","Research Report on the Development of Criminal Rule of Law" and "Current Commentary on Criminal Law". These academic series either conduct in-depth exploration of important criminal law theoretical and practical issues, or pay close attention to and timely discuss key, difficult and hot issues in criminal law theory and practice, or use cases to discuss the legal principles and application of law contained in difficult and typical criminal cases, or specialize in studying the latest practical issues in the construction and development of criminal law in my country, or introduce the latest developments in criminal law research.
