Institute of Criminal Policy

The Institute of Criminal Policy of our hospital was established in 2005, formerly known as the Institute of Criminology and Criminal Policy. Later, as the research team continued to grow, it was divided into two research institutes, namely the Institute of Criminology and the Institute of Criminal Policy. Professor Lu Jianping serves as the director of the Institute of Criminal Policy.

The Institute of Criminal Policy of our hospital adheres to the research concept of integrating criminal science, and takes studying the theory and practice of criminal policy as its central task. It also pays close attention to the positive impact and role of criminology, criminal law, criminal procedure law, criminal execution law, and legal sociology on criminal policy. In academic activities, the institute advocates open research ideas and interdisciplinary research perspectives, and holds academic seminars such as the "Roundtable on Juvenile Delinquency and Criminal Policy from a Multidisciplinary Perspective", striving to promote exchanges and discussions among experts and scholars from multiple disciplines such as criminal law, criminology, criminal policy, sociology, education, and psychology, so as to more comprehensively and scientifically understand crime as a social phenomenon, and comprehensively use multidisciplinary professional knowledge to analyze, Explore corresponding governance countermeasures in order to provide diversified research perspectives, rich research materials and panoramic research horizons for improving my country's criminal policy.

The institute has also edited and published the "Capital Criminal Policy Review"(edited by Lu Jianping, a continuous publication, currently published in 4 volumes). The journal has columns such as "Basic Theory of Criminal Policy","Criminal Policy and Practice","Hot Concerns","Special Discussions" and "Dynamic Information", providing a good platform for colleagues from domestic and foreign academic and practical circles to display and exchange research results on criminal policy.
